Whatever happened to the IPMS SIG for paper models? It seems to have withered and died? I see nothing mentioned of it in the IPMS journal page listed of SIGs.

Next National Convention is in Madison Wisconsin in July 2024 and they've already put out a call for any interested SIGs to set up displays.

I live 70 mi from Madison and would be happy to help set up a display. I'm not currently an IPMS member, though I belong to two IPMS chapters. I'm willing to renew my nat'l membership if that's what it takes.

I just sent a message to IPMS/USA asking for the process to create a new SIG. I'm happy to take the lead (or help someone else) on this if people here are interested.

So the SIG still shows up in the inactive SIG list on IPMS's website. It also shows Chris G as the contact. I would also be willing to be the contact if there's interest and reactivate the SIG.

As for the Madison IPMS Nationals next year, I am seriously considering attendance. The 2025 Nationals is in Hampton Virginia, so that one is on my radar as well.

Since you've taken the time to contact IPMS direct, let me know if and how they respond.

I just got a message from the IPMS Nationals committee. We now have a table reserved at at Madison next year for the Paper Scale Modeler SIG.
