The 1/144 scale would go with some of Bandai's plastic models & there are various injection molded and 3D printed figures in that scale.
I don't know what is available in paper airliners but 1/144 is the common airliner plastic model scale which makes it easy to put an airliner, and even a few ship or submarine models in that scale alongside the blockade runner so people can get a sense of its size.

The nice thing about a larger kit is that it can be scaled back without losing detail.
Enlarging? Well, that can be harder...

This is an interesting approach...
From my (designer) point of view I see it as follows: The large model will ask for extremely huge amount of details. And especially with such iconic model the fans could be very picky. That could mean that the design process might get too long... And then if you would like to scale it down ... would these small details still be executable ? |

It was a hard decision. I chose 1/192 because it is between 1/96 to 1/240.
