The History of Paper Models part 247
After rummaging through several shoeboxes, my other half and I came up with this. Out of focus and yellowing with age, as is your correspondent. We had to eat a lot of a famous breakfast cereal (which we are not particularly fond of) in order to justify it.
Best wishes, Philip |

Who are those guys, and why do they have such bad complexions?

I doesn't look like them but, could it be "Snap", "Crackle", & "Pop"?

Maybe it's their paper modeling cousins Rip, Crumple, and Crimp

I was amazed at the response to this (number of responses expected = 0). Thank you. That was nice. These guys are the Weetabix Kids, from the back of the wholesome food's box. Hence the bad complexions.
Neither my other half nor I can remember their names but they could be Charlie, Bixie and Benjy. Not lot of stuff available about Weetabix models but I did come across this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/opobs/2204369864/ Best Wishes, Philip

Phil,
Your weetabix cereal looks alot like our version of shreaded wheat. Let me tell you, if shreaded wheet printed models on the back of the box they had better be good ones - otherwise I wouldn't even think to pick it up. I could never stand to eat the stuff myself, it has the flavor of cardboard and the texture of steel wool. I'm sure that there are other uses for the stuff - Like scrubbing frying pans. Now if we could only get 'capn crunch or fruit loops to publish some nice WWII armor on the back of their box :D |
