That look excellent! I have buy this kit from Paper Model Store and was impressed that it is much better than the old MM model from the 1960s and 70s.

Struna, Great job on the Chi-He. I look forward to building this one myself in the future.

Lala you're right, this MM kit is much better then the older ones. High quality paper and printing and hopefully good fit.

Greg, I've seen your Chi-He, just like all your other stuff...Beautiful.

The ONLY gremlin this kit has is too few parts for the tension wheel flanges. These are easily made with thin strips of card stock using the kit pieces as templates. No big deal.

Fit is excellent. Do not be afraid of it, just because it is an MM kit.

You have built a beautiful model, Struna.

I appreciate the positive comments and recommended corrections from Kevin, Oksana, and Greg -- all very reliable sources and fine model builders.

Chi He photos

Here are pictures I took at the Patton Museum. They depict a front view, track detail, driver hatch detail, and two interior shots through the driver's hatch.

Apologies! I sure am an aerophile; tanks look alike to me. I am amazed you can tell the difference between the Chi He and Ha Go. Dont enlighten me, though....ignorance is bliss!

Thanks to all for nice word.

I build this model as a standard version. Only tracks wanted to be better. In paper are as a one slice. In the future I will be building Chi-Nu, difference between Chi-Nu and Chi-He are turret. Chi-Nu has a bigger :-). My friend will design it in Rhino.

Charles foto you are showing are not Chi-He but Type 95 Ha-Go (SVSM Gallery :: Type 95 Ha-Go Family) tank tracks are different form Chi-Ha(Chi-Nu)/Chi-He. Polish publisher out monography of japanese military vehicles from ww2 in 4 parts. It's a great source of information. About part of drive (wheels/tracks/suspension) Chi-He(Chi-Nu) and Chi-Ha are same.

regards
