Wallace and Gromit's Moonship
From Nick Park's 1989 movie "A Grand Day Out" (a brilliant film in every way). Wallace is annoyed because he has run out of cheese for his crackers, so he decides what better than to build a rocket which will take him and his doggy companion to the moon. For, as everyone knows, the moon is made of cheese.
Here we see the resulting contraption which carried our two intrepid souls to that distant satellite and allowed them to take their first steps upon the great ball of Wensleydale in the sky. Wallace confident, Gromit not so sure. The model is a quoted as 1:48 scale and stands 17cm tall. It was a joy to build; the parts falling ito place very well (mostly!) and a lovely design by Jason Sutton. Material was supplied for 804 rivet heads (!mm diameter). Didn't bother with those! I don't know if Jason is still active somewhere. The site I got it from is long gone and although there are some references to it on the web thingy, I haven't found a download page yet.

Wonderful! Did it come with craters, or are those your own design?

Very nice!! I hope they remembered to bring some Jacobs crackers with them
I remember I had a nose injury while doing some fun (and stupid) stuff with my friend at church when I was around ten, and I had to visit the Bristol Children's Hospital for a check up. They said I didn't have a broken nose, but to me my nose looked slightly wonky after that big hit.. They had these awesome Aardman dioramas on display, most possibly provided by Nick and his team. I already knew Shaun the sheep, but from that day on I've been a big fan of Wallace and Gromit. A friend of ours told us that Aardman used to work at the building that was now our regular dentist!! Super cool!! It was really nice living in Bristol.

This is a design by Joe Sutton. I have the files, but not for publication. You might try to contact him via the forum.
For more of his work, see my page Early SF on my website!

Jason is a member of the forum, but hasn't posted, nor has he been active since 2018, so unless someone else knows how to contact him, we might not have access to his creations

I found that model in my archives. There is indeed a yellow 23 x 35 square grid with instructions to puch out the rivet heads using a 1 mm punch.
So that will give you one extra rivet head.

Great to see you all, and thanks for your interest. I'm pretty sure someone has designed the Abandoned Cooker from the same film; that might be interesting if you can find it.
V_K: The craters came with it. I couldn't design a paper bag. Doug: You never cease to amaze me.
