France
Leaving Paris, we have a glimpse of what lurks in other parts of France.
- Chateau d'Amboise, Chateau Chenonceau, Chateau d'Anjony (Auvergne) - Chateau d'Azay-le-Rideau, Mont Saint-Michel - Chateau de Versailles (Basin d'Apollon)

Nifty. Once you do France, where will you go next?

I haven't really thought about it, V_K. If this thread does develop further I think I'll be wandering around France for quite a bit of time yet.

Nice models !There is a series of postcards of Prague - only about a dozen.
I found a series of models of italy when we were in Venice in '19. I bought a book of the kits that cover many Italian towns. I've not made any of their smaller kits but have made the bridge in Venice. a big 3D Jigsaw maybe worth 7 out of 10. The smaller ones look a little better. https://www.formacultura.it/?lang=en Cheers Mike |

Postcard models are always recently.
Recently I discovered some South African Postcard models and have so far managed to collect a few.

I had to smile at Willem's post.
About 10 years ago a friend of mine donated all his card kits to the V&A. They decided to put on an exhibition and wanted made -up versions. They ended up with over 40 of my models. Fast forward to a few years ago. I found out that there was a kit of where I worked. I couldn't find the kit but I knew that there was one at the V&A, so I contacted them and asked if I could have a copy. They said "no, because their policy wasn't to open sealed donations!" A few months later I saw a post on the forum about a model exhibition at the National Building Museum in Washington. I therefore wrote to them with the same question as above. This time They replied saying they had the model and also the other 5 in the series. Naturally, I said I'd have copies of them all! They weren't cheap but as they say "needs must when the devil rides" ( I don't know what it means either) So, if you want copies of buildings - forget the V&A and think NBM ;-) Cheers Mike |

I have always been intrigued by the idea of postcard kits. The simplicity, the compact size, and the design possibilities that the postcard format offers.

Alway good to make someone smile!
![]() My post was not intended to get people to buy at V&A. Just to show one can get an impression of the various modelcards. Some look buildable to me. Haven't tried though.

They have about 20,000 kits that have been donated. They used to have a few free Victorian kits. I'm not sure if they are still on their site.

Bonjour, mes amis. We're back in the bustling capital with a little stroll to some places of interest. How exciting!
