St Nicholas Church, Hurst, Berkshire

This is the second kit designed by a lady named Anne Hoskins (the first being a row of Berkshire cottages). It was issued as part of the church's 900th anniversary celebrations in 1983. Anne later went on to publish a series of simple colour-printed kits under the "English Village Designs" banner.

As you can see, it wasn't what you would call a complicated build but I don't think it suffers from that fact. Instruction number one is to paint all the pieces before cutting them out. What? Me? Put a paintbrush in my hand and a life-and-death struggle ensues. So I left it as it was.

Good night, where would you even start on painting...

I think that if I would build it, I'd have done the same. Interesting roof on this

Beautiful building, Philip!
And it's very nice also with the original colours.
One of the reasons why I liked paper models is for not having to paint!

Beautiful church and a very pleasant model, I feel a scent of centuries while looking at this noble architecture. Thank you very much!

Great model and as the other's have mentioned it's great unpainted.

When faced with a situation like this, my solution is to scan the model and run it through something like PaintShopPro or Gimp. This assumes familiarity with the use of a program like this, but my painting skills suck!
