Simple Czech Aircraft
A few weeks ago I started a project that is going to take me some time to finish. I like to take a break from stuff like that now and again in order to keep enthusiasm for it alive. Something quick, something easy. Going through my stash I came across this. Now aeroplanes aren't really my thing but this kit seemed to fit the bill.
It was published as "Letadelka" by Vaclav Sorel and Jaroslav Velc, Albatros, Prague, 1987. I'm not sure of the scale but it could be 1:50. So here are: - Aero Ae-45 - L-200 D Morava - LET L-410 UVP

I have seen some really good 2.5d aircraft, but they don't hang around very long as a general rule. I wish we had more of these. I know I had one plane that I took to church with me one day because Pastor Ben wanted to see it. It flew very well and what started as Ben and me tossing it back and forth, turned into a large-scale 'fellowship' with folks from about 4 years old to folks in their 80s.
Thanks for reminding me we need more of these

I like these too. They remind me of the small foam glider planes I could get sometimes as a kid, complete with spinning propellers. I flew them until they fell apart.

I'm so pleased these pictures brought back some pleasant memories for you both. For my own part, when a sapling, I would fly rubber powered sticks-and-tissue aircraft around my local park until, they too, disintegrated beyond repair. Happy days!
