Scoutship Dark Star (from the 1974 movie)
I have just completed this. There is a reference to the original free download on this forum, but the designer hasn't been active for several years......
It wasn't that easy to put together. The rear fuselage/engine/radiators did not fit particularly well, as-designed. And the interior required a more substantial cardboard skeleton upon which the panels are attached. I added layering to some panels. I used aluminium and gold foil to highlight the engine and radiators. I plug-moulded a clear observation dome and added the character Talby in it (a print-out). I added forward lights to the fuselage and red warning lights to (the infamous) Bomb No.20. Hidden magnets in the bomb and fuselage allow them to be separated for storage. One of my favourite films, from 1974. |

That's really nice!
I remember, as a young teen, first watching the film late one night on BBC2. I liked most Sci-Fi, even Stat Wars, but films like Dark Star, Silent Running and Solaris (1972), were my kind of Sci-Fi. |

The original Solaris is great. The re-make isn't too bad..... |
