Supermarine Spitfire Mk.VI (1/200, Micromodels)

Just completed this little model, originally published in 1942/43. I carved the nosecone/spinner from a piece of wood and added an aerial.

The card is from set E1 'Allied Fighter Planes'. I have the Hawker Hurricane to build.

Very interesting that this is the obscure Mark VI rather than the more publically familiar I or V (...flips through 'Spitfire Mark by Mark' to check details...) although it is representative given that this was a high flying variant with extended wingtips.

Yes, I thought that was interesting.... The more pointed, extended wings.....

Always a joy to see a well-built Micromodel.
