A couple of Autorail Models

I found these prints on the internet. The Bugatti Autorail was printed out in approximately 1/200, to match with my Micromodels trains. The other one is based on a vintage French tinplate toy.

Wonderful! These are classic railcars, one similar type survives and is used for excursions in France. I would love to see detailed kits of them in larger scales.

Hi All,

And hi, Aloniuk. Nice work on your French railcars. The blue model was designed by fellow member Pat_craft and appeared on this forum a few years ago. You can see the thread here:

Tin toy loco

At the time, I took the liberty of expanding his model into a longer version of the railcar. Some photographs and my extended version of Pat_craft’s art, in two shades of blue, will be found below. You may want to give it a go…

Score and fold,

Most interesting. I made the Pat_craft version with fully-rolling wheels, and moved them inboard slightly. I like the extended version - it would look good with double-wheeled bogies......

Hi All,

And hi, Aloniuk. Thank you for your kind words. I didn’t realize I was including smaller png images in my post. Here are a pair of larger jpg images for your collection.
