Hopping Sheep

"Hello everyone! We're so pleased to see you that we can't contain our excitement. Just turn our handle and we'll jump about with joy. With every revolution of the wheel our middle and right-hand sheep will leap once, while the youngster on the left will hop twice in quick succession. Tidy, eh?

"We were put together by this old bloke that found us lurking in "Paper Automata" by Rob Ives, Tarquin Publications, Norfolk, 2003.

"And furthermore... (That's enough; ed.)"

Looks like a lot of fun. How much time did you spend just watching the mechanism function once it was complete?

Nice. I built this last year along with the pecking hen. Still have the jester and flying fish to do.

Good evening friends from a chilly, damp evening in Croydon. Good to see you.

V_K: About thirty seconds. Had some problems with the gubbins not working as it should, and by the time that lot was sorted I'd fallen out of love with the mechanism.

Aloniuk: I don't think you can, but I'm willing to be corrected. Havn't got the means to produce any kind of video anyway. You'll have to use your imagination, of which I know you have plenty.

rmks2000: We're sailing in the same boat then!

Mike: See above. The automata are moreish, but there's some other stuff that's been nagging me for ages I have to try and get on with.

Erik: We aim to please!
