Pecking Hen
The Grande Dame of the hen coop we see here loves her corn but for a reason no-one can fathom she is unable to bend down without encouragement. A boot up the backside should do it.
This, my second build from Rob Ives's book "Paper Automata", was a joy to do. It was quite easy to make and the lever mechanism worked perfectly. It was pretty strong too. I know this as I found that with a little practice you can work up to a phenomenal speed with a rat-a-tat like a machine gun. The lady never says no.

Cheers, friends.
V_K: It will probably end up in the hands of someone else's grandson in any case, so all is not lost.
