Raaabaza-nella!

Welcome crazy about “paper-work” people!

I’d like to present You my latest model of Fw-190A-8/R8, which I have managed to complete (sadly this doesn’t happen to me very often).
This particular plane was flown by Walther Dahl, commander of JG 300. The model was published by Andrzej Halinski. As it is usual in this case, the printed model itself is perfect, and all troubles I had during building it were my fault (I had to built the fuselage twice). I did some extra work on it like riveting and marking almost all lines on the surface. I gave up installing machine guns in fuselage and magazines, because it was usual procedure in storm units to remove them to lose some weight of the airplane. The whole model was airbrushed with mat Pactra with some black to make more visible stains behind the exhaust and near cannons as well. I also put some aluminum Pactra to mark paint chips around cockpit and canopy.
Well, that’s enough of my bla bla bla. Please see the pictures.

Jacob, That is one of the finest detail work I have seen. It rivals Patero's armor vehicles and that is no easy task. Very well done.

That is a superlative build, Jacob! I hope you get a Pic of the Week out of that collection. For the moderator- I nominate this model gallery to yield a POTW!

I'd like to thank all of You for great welcome of my work. These posts give me good motivation for trying do it even better. But I have to say that I saw Patero’s works, which are excellent, detailed and very complicated. From my point of view it is difficult to compare modeling vehicles and airplane. Each of them is unique and has its difficult stages during building.

Wow! At the time of this post you have 6 posts and probably one of the finest models I have seen. Talk about joining Paper Modelers with a bang mate.

How long would you say this took you to build please?

Oh and please put as much "blah blah" as you like. i am sure most of us are keen to read how you created this masterpiece as much as view the images.

Again! Smashing job mate.

Cheers
Jim
