You are thinking in a cardgame frame of mind aren't you? i don't know if it will be a good option.
I would choose: Weapons: Range/to hit modifier/damage die/special rules Shield: Damage reduction to weapon die Armor: Points absorbed from damage/Threshold Inner Structure: Number of points until kaput Max speed Agility (how easy to turn, accelerate and deccelerate) Pilot skill Gunner skill Unit name Unit illustration This may change a bit because we are talking of at least four different types of units: Capital ships, fighters, tanks and infantry and that is leaving mecha out of it. |

When you say mecha do you mean like big robotic suits of armor? I would prefer to leave those out of it and stick to more conventional stuff like AFV's, infantry and the like
at lest until expansions |

Agreed. I like mecha. My wife jokes with me and murmurs in my ear sometimes with a childish voice "giant-lobotta" and laughs. It was after she found out my spoils of Battletech...
Still I'm with you. Mecha can be added (or not) in the future. |
