There was a saying about Detroit made cars, don't buy one made on a Monday, maybe that also applies to printers.
Many years ago, I could of told you several of the variables (technical-learned during college course 2000). Forgot most because the main issue is they can never print the same.

Remember the what you see is what you get? That had allot to do with monitors (different settings), printer settings, and brand of ink.

The ink is mixed, what happens if the recipe changes even slightly?

Hertz of incoming electrical supplying to your home.

Firmware updates really mess with the colors.

Lots of variables even if both printers are receiving print instructions, from one computer at the same time.
