Hello Guys and Gals,
I have put the Epson 1100 through it's paces and I can
recommend it to modelers. I have printed on 11X17" card
stock and Glossy coated cover paper. It surpassed the
quality of the HP 9050 printer in all parameters. I even
used it to scale up from 1:44th scale to 1:33rd scale using
the scaling setting in the page setup. It did this with no
problems noted. The bottom line is I am satisfied in all
respects with this printer.......Ron

Darwin,
I am glad you alerted me to the problems you encountered
on the HP 9650 and the fine attributes Of the Epson 1100
workforce inkjet printer....Ron

Ron, glad I'm not the only one that's happy with it. I scored on a Workforce 600 on fleabay for $35...new and still sealed in box. Finally, I will have two printers at the same time that use the same ink cartridges.

Hello Guys and Gals,
The above noted recommendation being said I am now
contemplating a wheeled cart to store the Epson 1100,
HP 9650 and my Mustec 1200 Pro scanner on. I think
I have found one that fits the measure requirements of
all three units. It is not furniture quality but it will allow
me to store and give mobility to other rooms and other
computers. It is a Rubber Maid brand wheeled cart used
in the food industry and other for other purposes. I will
keep you informed if I decide to purchase it...Ron

If any fellow modelers have any other printers out there
that meets all the requirements for paper modelers please
let everyone on the Forum it's Pro's and Con's and the
cost of the machine....Ron

Ron, how is the Mustek working out for you? The next item on my replace/upgrade list is a wide format scanner.

Darwin,
So far it has done a good job. I have not scanned any
11X17 pages yet but did scan a copy of the Fairy
Swordfish for my own use. The scanned pages turned
out good and printed out good on the HP 9650.. Ron

The page for the specific model cart did not appear with the
link shown. At the link search window Type in WBB56119 and
the search will pull up the cart I have in mind.....Ron

Still, with an autofeeder built in, that is not too big a thing to ask of the user for adding the duplex printing ability.
got it all hooked up the other night and damn that thing prints quick lol but havent tried the duplex stuff yet but seems like a very good printer.
