London Transport STL bus
I've been trying to find a 1/87 scale (HO) London Transport STL bus for a friends' railroad layout.
We have had no luck in the die cast world, although I have a lovely example in OO scale. Does anyone know of a paper /card kit in 1/87 scale or that could be rescaled? |

Hi!
Maybe you'll be able to find something at www.papercrafts.it; they offer a variety of buses in H0 scale as FREE DOWNLOADS. You can easily rescale a 1/76-scale model by printing it at a size of 87 percent. Good luck! - Tex |

Hi Tex,
I tried that web site, my browser told me it couldn't find the server. |

Howdy!
Well ... that's right funny ... a great big pity at best! It opens right fine on my server. Maybe you could try again by adding a slash immediately after the address, maybe that'll do the trick. If that doesn't work either, maybe you could send me a short description of what bus you're looking for, what color, etc., so that I can see if it (or something similar) is available there. Since these models are free downloads, I don't think I'd break any rules by sending you any of them by Skype. What do you think? So long, - Tex |

LT STL Bus
Hello Tex,
Here are some shots of my die cast model. It's in 00 scale, and no longer obtainable. My friend is the USA and has a railroad layout in HO depicting a small town around 1935 - 1940, he has a variety of vehicles from the period and wanted an RT, but they weren't around just then, so I thought of the STL which was the immediate predecessor and served from about 1935 right to 1950. |

Howdy again!
Thanks a lot for the pictures; that IS a mighty fine bus! Unfortunately, I can't recollect seeing anything like it as a paper / cardboard model, no matter what scale, nor do I have enough time to come up with anything like it myself. I'll permalink your post, though, and keep my eyes open. - Tex |

Hmmm ... on second thought ...
Would you be able to send me some photos of the actual bus together with the basic measurements (metrics are fine with me!) and the required paint scheme - just in case I find some free time in the near future, after all? I've looked up "your" bus on Google Images, but there are so many different types ... So long, - Tex |

Here's some resin buses in 1/76 scale, don't know what the availability is. Little Bus Company - NB4 - AEC Regent III
Is your friend doing an English railroad layout or American, since the AEC's wouldn't have been in use in the US? |

Hi Whulsey, He's doing a, nominally at least, US small town, but he's adding all sorts of "foreign " buildings trains and vehicles. Talk about making life difficult as he's doing it in HO.
