FGMM Laird-Turner Meteor

This contest has been a great excuse to build some of the models I've downloaded over the years. This is Roscoe Turner's Meteor from 1939. After a couple of attempts,I gave up trying to cut slots in the fuselage for the wings and tail and cut the wings and tail into sections to glue to the fuselage(with a cardboard spar for the wings). Everything else went very well, even the very complex wheel pants. I only have a few left to build from the racers collection.

P.S. I'm a little curious about the designer,"Armadillo Air",as I don't recall seeing anything else with their name on it. Does anyone out there know anything about them?

WAG, Great build!! It looks awesome.
I'm not sure if you've seen it, but the MAY issue of Aviation History magazine has an article on Roscoe Turner and one of the aircraft in the article is this one you've built.

Terrific! Another beautiful Golden Age classic and one of my favorite airplanes. I've built one of these myself (not so well as you did) and I have a great fondness for it. It's a pleasure to it so well executed.

Once again you guys are far too kind. Paperwarrior, thanks for the heads up. Hard to believe but there aren't any bookstores that sell magazines in my area any longer(only Half Price Books) so I'll have to look online for it.
