USS South Dakota (BB-49)
My latest long term project is the USS South Dakota in 1/250, as per my usual. This is the canceled pre-WWI BB, not the later USS South Dakota (BB-55). So far, so good, I have fantastic plans which make all the difference in the world. This is the bridge in progress, having some trouble with the hull so I went ahead and started the superstructure. Not sure how to do the cage mast, I may find out about having someone etch them and sell them separately. Any thoughts?

Re: USS South Dakota (BB-49)
for the cage mast you can make it as a solid tube in the shape you need. at this point you can either have just a texture of the cage or use a texture and have the builder cut out the insides. thats what i plan on doing when i get to my battleship project.
