A very curvy lady....

Here is my latest project, the soviet-era destroyer Leningrad. She is basically an experiment in more complex hull shapes. So far, so good, although I will do it differently next time around. I will probably redo it, but here is the bow so far. Below is the real thing, rather distinctive ships with very slender, curvy hulls and wide-set funnels with the bridge far forward. Quite lovely IMO. I am not 100% sure I will release this one, I am going to take my time and just learn how to do a more complex hull in the process.

Update! I've already started over :P Here's V 2.0. Bow is finished, that was the tough part (for now) now onto the main hull section....

Latest update-the hull is now structurally complete. Will begin adding detail to the hull sides before unfolding. The stern was a PITA and I'm starting to hit things so I'll take a break for a while.

Hope to have the hull completely finished and unfolded this week-looks like it'll happen!
