Just bought all of them. I presume Ron has already got his.
F-82G FQ-363 (serial 46-363) was the aircraft with which Lieutenant William G. Hudson (pilot) and Lieutenant Carl Frazer (radar observer) of the 68th Fighter (All Weather) Squadron flying out of Itazuke Air base, Japan, shot down the first North Korean aircraft of the Korean War, variously reported as a Yak-7 or a Yak-11, on 27 June 1950 while escorting transport aircraft evacuating military dependents and civilians from Kimpo. Sources: Robert Frank Futrell, The United States Air Force in Korea 1950-1953, Revised Edition, Washington, DC: Office of Air Force History, 1983, p. 13 (citing 68th Squadron History); A. Timothy Warnick, ed., The USAF in Korea: A Chronology, Washington DC: GPO, 2000, p. 3. The GreMir model depicts FQ-363 in 1951 at Suwon Air Base (incidentally Mike, there is a minor typo there: "Lorea" should be "Korea"). Many thanks for making these models of historic aircraft available. on |

They look pretty good Mike. How do the bare metal aircraft look printed out?

Don,
Thanks for catching that - fixed. Ted, Planes are shown in overall gray, no weathering. I would suggest printing them on glossy or semi-gloss photo paper to get closer to natural metal finish.

YB -
I guess in a way, I am doing something similar: listening to Götterdämmerung while grading student papers (analyses of the 1983 Grenada operation, URGENT FURY) in between downloading my flight of GreMir F-82s. Just now Hagen and Alberich are having their sinister dialogue. There is certainly a ring involved. Have a great Navy day. I look forward to your Twin Mustang build threads. Awesome plane! When I was a youth, I went to the RC plane nationals when they were in Dayton at the US Air Force Museum and a gentleman who had piloted 'Betty Jo' that sits in the museum had a scale model made with exquisite detail - down to modeled rivets etc. When we were watching him fly it he lost his motors during a climb and his precious model with hundreds of work hours in it started diving to the ground out of control. There were some tense moments until he pulled it out of the dive and glided it to the ground.
Incidentally I pulled out the US Air Force Museum book and the spelling is definitely 'Betty Jo' and not 'Betty Joe' on the plane you picture, with the same number designations. (And the text on your website says 'Betty Jo'.) Image attached.

Model itself carries "Betty Jo" name, only the cover art states "Betty Joe" - I will have to find another one and replace it to avoid confusion...
Thanks for catching that.
