Its the model many of you have been waiting for....
The Oddball-O-Rama Special Prize commissioned paper model design has been listed at Ecardmodels. The winner of the commissioned design, Papermate, picked the YC-14...a true oddball looking aircraft.

I didn't know the 2nd one was over at AMARG. Now I need to get on the tour next time I'm down there.
I wonder if it's complete. The one at Pima looks kinda forlorn without it's engines. |

Looks like she's a little more wrapped up Although I don't know if the engines would also be preserved.

Kinda looks like the engines are on in that pic. I've seen others with them off though, so no telling what's up with it.

The engines are removed, just the main portions of the nacelle remain on. The nacelle intake is removed.

I wonder what they have against the engine intakes? Course, same thing happened to Pima's Budd Conestoga.

From the looks of the design, the intake ring probably had to be removed to facilitate the engine change. Looks like the engine was slid in from the front.

I think so. And the cowling probably attached to the engine somehow, so without the engine, nowhere to hang the cowling.

Always thought that was a cool looking plane. Here's a couple of shots from the last time I was down at Pima.

The Soviets were impressed enough to make their own version -- and I suspect it got used more than the original.
