Burned Offerings Shop Opening

Hi Everyone

After a bit of a scramble I am happy to announce that the Burned Offerings shop is now open! Summer has to be the worst time to start any endeavor but at least it's started To begin with we have made 11 different laser cut frame / former sets available with new ones coming online every 2nd day or so. If there is one that you can't possibly live without, just leave me a note and I will try to accommodate! At the moment I am working on kits by Fitter, Ken West and Will Aldridge and of course, more Models by Marek. The site is almost complete but not 100%. It's guaranteed I missed something or made some mistake or another but it isn't too bad Please, if you haven't anything better to do, check it out!
As usual I always welcome ideas and suggestions

Welcome to Burned Offerings! - Burned Offerings

All the best!
Ron

Best of luck Ron! I think it will be well, as this is a much needed service for the card model world.

What is the smallest scale you have attempted with the laser? Small scale minds want to know!

Thanks Ray! Small? It will go pretty small but exactly how small I couldn't tell you. I can try something out if you like. Have anything in mind? It would be a neat experiment

Well, you know I build 1/144 most of the time. But, I would probably have
to try and rescale it for you, then send the file. Or let you know the % decrease
of a kit and you could try it that way. It would be a neat experiment.

As an example, 1/33 to 1/144, I print at 23% of original
while 1/50, I print at 35% of original size.

Thanks Enigma, Wyvern
What do you cut formers from Ray? I'll give it a shot

What I use for formers/spars/ribs varies. I usually just use the back of desk calendars.
For formers, the thickness generally doesn't matter. It is when I work with the spars/ribs
that thickness becomes a factor. So, whatever your using would be just fine for the formers.
As far as spars/ribs, those cutouts could just be modified by the end user to fit.

I'll give it a shot in the morning. Should be fun! Hey, shipping would be cheap, it could all fit *under* a postage stamp

Very professional looking, and nice to see it come to fruition.

Well done!
