USS Monitor released!

My 1/250 USS Monitor kit has been, at long last, released! The kit is waterline and represents Monitor as she appeared during and after the Battle of Hampton Roads and can be built as she appeared either during battle, with all deck fittings stowed, or at rest with funnels, vents etc. I have tried to make this model as accurate as possible. The kit is very highly detailed. Price is set at $6.00 and the kit is available for download exclusively from Ecardmodels.com! Hope you all enjoy it!

Find a 1/350 waterline stripped model there on the right side. Is that it?

I do not, in fact have any pics of the completed model, I think someone is building one for me though.

The pics are of a slightly outdated version, the new one has more detail on the deck. The model that you see was built by CardStalker, who also did the base and canopy parts included.

Great looking model! I would only comment that the depiction would be just after the March 9th battle, as this Monitor seems to have slanted pilot house armor. The slanted armor was added to the box like pilot house after a direct hit from one of the Merrimack's large cannons did the pilot house minor damage, and temperately blinded the Monitor's Captain. At any rate, it looks like a great model and accurate, and I will be adding this one to my small fleet of 1:250 scale boats. Thanks!

Glad you like it, the model includes the option to leave off the slanted armour on the pilot house, as well as the option for stowed deck fittings.

Hello all, I will be doing a build report soon. APA-168 sent me the final files today and I can say it is a very nice build and he did great graphics on the final. So stay tuned. My best to everyone.
