Continuing the Martin theme, next up is the Martin P4M Mercator.

I've also got the Martin P6M Seamaster ready to go, but it has to wait until next week. I want to have it on my table at the convention, but in order to transport it, it has to travel in pieces. I've got the major components awaiting final assembly until I get to the hotel. Then I'll take pictures and release it.

None yet. I've got a few projects ahead of it, but hopefully I can get to it soon.

New laptop is set up and chugging away, so time to finish what got interrupted last week.

2 models to release today:
The Martin P6M Seamaster.

It's failure inspired the DUKW (It was too small and unseaworthy, so they decided to make it bigger).

As my first foray into large ship models*, I present the Lun Class Ekranoplan

This is the "Spasatel" Search and Rescue version.

Lun Class Ekranoplan

*Although they might look similar to traditional aircraft, ekranoplans like the Lun are not classified as aircraft, seaplanes, hovercraft, or hydrofoils. Rather, crafts like the Lun-class ekranoplan are classified as maritime ships by the International Maritime Organization due to their use of the ground effect, in which the craft glides just above the surface of the water.

After 4 years (at least), 13 restarts, and a whole month to get it built, the Douglas A2D Skyshark is finally ready for takeoff. Hopefully the propellors stay on.
