A bug in the Mustang file?

I have just tried printing out the mustang on 2 different computers each hooked up to a different printer and each attempt jammed the respective printer. To test my theory that somthings wrong with the file and not the printers I just printed out a page from Gremirs Tempest V and it printed just fine. Can anyone else verify this or does my computer just wish to deny me the pleasure of actually building something?

edit:

Would not having the latest version of adobe reader be the problem?

2nd edit:

Downloaded most recent version (8.1) still jams printer

I printed p4 on it's own on a b/w laser, it took a much longer time than usual but didn't jam and there were no lines across the print.
You could try one page at a time ... or just give up.

P-51D printed normally except p4 - it took nearly 10 minutes to print. Canon S-630 using Adobe reader 8.

I printed out the entire Lublin R-XVIb with no problems, printing one page at a time, and have spent some time building it in my head. It looks like a beautifully engineered model and I am preparing to give it a try, although it may be somewhere above my skill level.

There is an ABUNDANCE of information on those pdf's ... it's gonna choke out your basic printer. The models were created in a 3D package and ported out to 2D ... what happened is that the triangles of the model got left in and so instead of a border with fill you get a nightmare.

I'd fix it and distribute it for those who are having problems but we all know I can't do that. =(

Don't anyone think it's their software or hardware. It's the file improperly distributed ... hence it's free.

oh man ... i just reopened it and it's ground the system to a halt almost.

=O

edit: Still grinding ... best to avoid printing this. I think I will give them an email about this. I'll even offer to fix it with no strings attached as a thank you for the download.

I can do this during breaks at work.

This is an Outline preview of page 4. This shows only vector information without color or transparency.

As you can see.... super redundant info. I'd like to know how long it took to create these files. SHould have been a red flag there. =)

Actually StevO, both of the free models seem to have the same problem. They appear to have translated all of the polygon information from the original models. When I print them at high resolution, I'm getting little white lines all over them where the vectored polygon lines are.

Best Regards,
Julian (Fozzy The Bear)

Hey, you're giving me a good laugh. :D
It's deliberate, hence my comment on the other thread about paranoia.

The machine translation of

includes the following
Quote:
Hello of model construction friends,

before I the question over pn repeatedly to answer must then rather here now publicly:

As we the files to the Download to release wanted to have we over it to also advise like one the data at least a little to protect can. And Franz, which is very experienced in handling the programs, provided pdf - file so simply to convert does not leave itself. Who thus tries to export these files (also the Lublin) into another format around it to work on experiences a bad surprise and must much work invest. And in addition are these strange white lines there. On the expression then however any longer however on the screen are always visible they do not appear.

Many greetings

Axel Huppers
