I agree, wouldn't ecardmodels.com be an alternative?

eCardmodels is an unlikely alternative for the following reasons:
1. GreMir had a unique cryptograohic key for each individual sale and, I believe, also to the machine on which it was installed. I recall having to get new keys from Michael when I moved to a new computer. The viewer program for the files requires that key in order to view the files. 2. GreMir models were mostly e-versions of designs that were originally published in hard copy form in Europe and were reformatted for USA letter size paper. Others were by the original designers (Carl Beetz for example) and exclusive to GreMir. The rights to the designs were essentially licensed to GreMir but the ownership most likely remained with the original designer/publisher. 3. Michael Krol said in July 2007, "Until the end of 2018 I will keep helping everybody that purchased models from me, but after December 31, 2018, GreMir Models will cease to exist." The thoughts above are my personal opinions and do not reflect the views of anyone but myself. Ron Spencer

I wish...
I wish I'd seen this when I'd had the chance...
Has anyone found where any of his designers made their models available? |
