I've got this kit, along with several other card (not digital) kits of Marek's earlier models. Your build demonstrates that the model is definitely worth building. Nice diorama in the second photo.

As far as I know, this one wasn't designed by Marek Pacynski, but by Marek Borawski.

I just noticed both Marek's are listed on the card, but I can't tell who did what.

Thanks, guys. I was surprised to see this thread re-surface, and sorry for my lackluster participation here of late. I must confess to not having touched a paper model all year, been busy painting the German flat tin figures.
Anyway, it does go to show that there's a deserving place for simple kits in the paper modeling world.

I agree, Steve, and I think you did a fine job on this one. I've had my eye on it, and now I want to build it.

The Huascar is moored off the coast of Chile at the port of Talcahuano. For those of you with Google Earth installed on your computers, she is just big enough to be seen.
This helicopter overflight includes a quick glimpse of Huascar and a look at the effects of the 2010 tsunami. Video - Breaking News Videos from CNN.com |
