[Zapowiedz] Kawanishi N1K2-J Shiden Kai "George" MODEL HOBBY

In the near future we will publish our new aircraft model which should
certainly interest all fans of Japanese aircrafts.
Fourth number of WEAPONS OF WWII will contain Japanese fighter plane
Kawanishi N1K2-J Shiden KAI "George"

Shiden KAI was a succesor of a N1K1-J, one of the most controversial
fighters of Japanese Navy during World War II.
Model depicts airplane used by 343 Kokutai, famous Genda's squadron of aces
and is designed in typical camouflage of Japanes Navy's planes from the last
period of the war.
Parts are provided to build one of two planes flown by Lt. Naoshi Kanno (48
aerial victories) or CPO Shoichi Sugita (120+ aerial victories).
Offered model is intended for all modelers, both experienced and novices, as
everybody can choose level of detail in the build model.
Fully detailed version will have:
- very detailed cockpit
- separate control surfaces
- fully detailed armament
- engine mock-up
More information in the near future...

This will be a real treat!!!!

And if you wondering about GreMir involvment - the answer is yes :D
Piotr will be doing all the announcing, but let me assure you that this model creates new standard in both quality of the design and printing.

This is good news indeed! Not only is this a very famous, capable, and beautiful airplane, but I know of no other Shiden-Kai available. The MM kit is of the earlier, mid-wing N1K1-J and has a few challenges.

It is a good (and logical) choice to provide aircraft of Genda Minoru's band of skilled aviators, 343 Kokutai, and I am delighted to hear that the kit will allow both novice-level construction for duffers like me as well as scope for the more skilled model builders.

And finally, it is wonderful that a scalable version will be available via GreMir!

Great news to wake up to!

Many thanks to all who are involved.

Don

Everything Don said! (darn another on my to-do list!) I don't think even Mike can say the Japanese aircraft as underrepresented with the addition of this, possibly finest piston aircraft of the PTO. (sorry Will):D

Very nice - another one I want to add to my list, and not even because of any special interest in the craft, but just because I was blown away by the quality of the BF109-T1 kit produced by Model Hobby

Here is the latest update for our new model.Complete information about the model and accessories:

As the first information I would like to confirm cooperation between
Michael Krol (GreMir Models) and Model-Hobby in creation of the Shiden KAI
model.
We hope that this joint effort will be met with approval by modelers all
over the world and it will result in more future projects.

Model is printed on 8 card A4 sheets (4 offset plus 4 gloss), 4 sheetsoffset plus the cover. We do realize that the price might be higher thatexpected but this the result of higher number of pages in the model. We would also like to inform that we will have a limited number of copies(around 50) printed only on offset card. This edition will be availableonly through our webstore.

Price of the model – 34 PLN

For all modellers looking for something extra in the model we offer, asfirst in the business, metal ammunition for 20mm cannons.

Price of the set (140 pieces) – 34 PLN

It became a standard to offer laser cut formers for the models. Our setwill include full set of formers, all additional equipment and completenew offering of internal framing for the control surfaces to embosssurfaces.

Price of the laser cut set – 24 PLN

Crowning point of the additional parts is the set of four 20mm cannonbarrels. First two photos show the barrels itself and the last showscompleted cannon.

Price of the set (4 barrels) – 16 PLN

Model will be available in May 2009.
