Bohdan Wasiak!

Oh wait I misread the question. Crap

I don't have A favorite and I won't name them here as to not miss anyone or offend others I would not include (except for the above). There are people's designs that I know will build well and then there are others I haven't tried yet.

Gunnar Sillén. Always has been and will be my favorite designer.

There are so many great designers and it depends on what you like to build. In my case, SCI-Fi where UHU02 leads the pack, for Warhammer, the prolific Patoroch, For Armor, Uncle Serge and his crew for World of paper Tanks. It is hard to choose from so many out there but this sampling of mine is just a taste of the great master crafters out there.

Being an airplane person I would say:
Edgar Schmüd, Reginald Mitchell, Barnes Wallis, Kelly Johnson,...

Oops, they did not work in paper.

I've had the most success with models by Nobi and Kampfflieger, but it's really a tough call, so many talented folks sharing their creations, often for free. I too love to look at designs by UHU02, but look is about all I can do with his stuff. Wish I could read Japanese.
