Orlik "Phonix D.I" 1:33
The Phönix D.I was an Austro-Hungarian First World War biplane fighter built by the Phönix Flugzeug-Werke and based on the Hansa-Brandenburg D.I.
* Number of paper sheets with parts to cut out.. 4, * Number of constuction pictures/diagrams... 5 * Difficulty level of the model in 1-5 scale (1-very simple, 5-very complicated): 3 Designer... Stanislaw Sliwinski.. Impressions.. Another nice kit from one of my favorite designers.. Graphics are first rate. The wood grain looks real nice, and all the metal parts have a metallic silver finish. I also have the laser frames. The quality IMO is on a par with the other WWI Orlik kits, and should build up into a real colorful model. The diagrams themselves should be sufficient enough to build, though by now there might be English instructions at the Orlik web site. |

Excellent review report, Peter. I hope it is the prelude to a build report!

Thanks for the review Peter. I was thinking of buying this kit, now I will. Great plane, great colours and good designer, oh and shiney bits what's not to love.

Thanks for posting this preview. This kit is on my "to be acquired" list. I hope you do a build thread on it!
