Hello guys!
I have made a little review of the Luchs from Wak.
This is going to be my next model after I have finished the ChiHa.

That's a nice little tank. This should be another excellent build.

Hallo Johnny,
Nice review
I want to buy Battleship DUNKERQUE from Wak, but I have no experience with this publisher. Built you some model from Wak? Now I trust only GPM.:D

There's quite a lot of design commonality with the Pz 1F (same designer). I think that some of the issues I identified in the 1F might turn up in a Luchs build.

Regards,

Charlie

Really expanding your site! Awesome! I have this one too.... I would build along with you, but my building speed leaves much to be desired....

I checked my copy of the Luchs and the same issue as the Pz 1F about the strength of the swing arms and axles seems to be present in the Luchs. These are modelled as simple hollow cylinders - I found on the Pz 1F that these simply weren't strong enough to support the weight of the model or the twisting moment of the wheels. My solution was to build the cylindrical elements and then reinforce them with a solid rod rolled up from thin paper. I have doubts about the stability of butt joining the swing arms but I got away with it in the Pz 1F.

I notice there is a small error in the roadwheels - they are modelled with 8 "ripples" - in fact it had 7.

Regards,

Charlie

I had the same problem with the Greif.Hollow swingarms buttjoined.I solved it by using superglue around the contact points and soaking the part in it.If I had known that before I had also made them stronger with rods going into the hull.
