ORLIK HL-2 "Haroldek"in 1:33
A 1927 Polish one only aircraft.. Built by Jozefa Medweckiego.. The aircraft received the markings HL-2, coming from the surname of a famous American silent film comedy actor "Harold Lloyd" .. An interesting thing about the plane, is that one wheel was fabric covered.. the left was was uncovered spokes. Medwecks main goal was to take part in the First Country Avion Contest in Oct. 1927.
Model consist of.. 2 1/2 pages of parts.. about 4 pages of diagrams, 2 of them in color. And the option of English instructions from the web site. I "think" the designer is Stanislaw Sliwinski.. Beautiful graphics.. all metal parts printed with a silver metallic finish.. Also, I have the laser frames. |

Hello Peter,
Interesting - red model inside; natural finish on the cover... Seems to be an interesting prop, too! - L. |

Yes, I was surprised by the red also. Assuming by the cover that is was just natural linen that was doped ... In the description of the aircraft in the write-up, they say it was red.. |

I've heard of colourblindness, but this is a new level innit?

I've never seen a layered construction prop before... do those work out well?

Hi Peter,
Long time no see... I assume that you will actually spoke one of the wheels. Kuba, I remember seeing a prop Peter had made where you could see the simulated grain in the wood. Jim Nunn

This is a very interesting airplane, Peter. I look forward to seeing it take shape, whatever the color.
