Militarized 737

Here's a few shots of my latest project: Repaint Marek's 737 into a C-40B. The C-40B is a modified Boeing 737BBJ designed to carry VIP's and cargo. 4 of these aircraft where bought by the US Air Force. The US Navy also operates the 737 as the C-40A, which as a large cargo door added to the left fuselage.

For the repaint, I removed Marek's basic paint scheme (TransAero) and added the USAF paint. I also separated the panel lines from the model and lightened them up so they don't stick out as much. I then modified the passenger windows and adjusted their spacing. Next I'm going to add texture to the wings and horizontal stabs.

Here's the final version. Unfortunately I can not distribute this model at this time. I refer to Airdave's post on this thread: New 777-200 model . I bought Marek's 737 from ecardmodels.com and repainted it to fix some of its errors.

The original model is still Marek's kit. Maybe Sergey Timinsky or John Bowden could get his permission, but I will respect his copyright. Of course, now I can get back to my 737 design.

Very nice! I knew about the Navy version, but was unaware of the Air Force ones. It would be cool if this can go on Ecardmodels too. Any plans on the Navy version?

I'm thinking about making up a P-8 Navy version, mostly so I can hang some ordinance on the underwing! But like I said, I won't release this version without Marek's approval. Here's some shots of the textures I used for the wings and stabs, compared to the original Marek model.
