Good job Piotter. Looks very precise for something of 10cm of length.
How do you roll that tiny cylinders ?

definitely an exercise in precision! this would be a good candidate for 1/33 scale.

Hello

Alcides, nothing:

Im not so good modeler as I wish to be - you can see it on engine below.
But - thank you very much. You really embarassing me...

Anyway - I,ll try to be much more precise .

Alcides - this Bristol Jupiter wasnt very hard job. Only nine cylinders and only one engine.
Making the Calquin - that was fun .
But I suffer becouse I cant use my favourite glue for cardmodels - BCG. It stains jet ink printouts.
In topic of rolling really small tubes look at this thread - SYZYF's post from 10-01-09 12:18).
Step by step guide in photos.
Even if dont know my (beautifull and difficult as hell ) language you can say: Syzyf in an Genius in card modelling !

Back to Heron - engine is ready, first look at wings.

Greetings!

Piotter thanks very much for the link. Incredible technique and yes: Syzyf es un genio en modelos de cartulina. ( Spanish version ) .

One question: Do you use that technique to roll the cylinders in the Heron ?

About your beautiful language a think you have to eliminate just some "y"

Beautiful engine. About wings: Are the lowers ones separated ? Seems to me the former was one.

Hello

Alcides - I usually roll all tiny cyllinders on hobby drill bits or directly on templates. That how I made them in Heron. Syzyf's method is really great for long and slim tubes.

And I must learn Spanish at last :D.

You can see contruction of lower wing on photos now.
And traditionally firs look on wheels but today Heron is almost ready.
