Hello!
Thank you Wyvern!

The first few parts are ready. Colors are alleged because I have no drawing showing in what colors can be painted (about color photo, even I do not think). If anyone knows the rules of painting aircraft, the RAF from that time period (the 20th of the last century) or have any materials about Heron from books, albums or plastic models (if they are) please help. I will be very grateful.

Best regards.

This is the only picture I could find. This is the prototype J6989 (apparently the only aircraft produced.) I imagine the color would be aluminum doped fabric and bare metal. I am looking foward to this one (and any others of the "Golden Era" 1920-1940.) Note that the rudder stripes should be blue-white-red from fore to aft. The Heron was flown by Hawker until 1928 and the RAF did not reverse the rudder stripe colors to red-white-blue until 1930.

Hello!
Thank you OldTroll!
My fault, I forgot about replace of colors of stripes on the rudder and I gave them as they were later in the RAF.

I have already corrected.

Best regards.

Just a quick search. RAF as a demonstrator from June 1925 - displayed at Hendon 27JUN25, No15 Sqd from 17DEC25 to MAY27, 22Sqd from JUN-AUG27. Returned to Hawker repainted and registered as G-EBYC on 21MAY28, prepared for Kings Cup race 20JUL28, but struck car and was written off.

Civil photos here and here No evidence on the colour.

I agree with the Troll. If they used any other color on the upper fuselage decking, as was done with the Siskin and Bulldog, it probably would've been PC-12.

be that as it may, the aircraft was a demonstrator, so color as you will! Also, it might be cool to have a couple of schemes as it might've looked had in been bought for service- lift schemes off a Siskin or Gamecock, or any other "Tweener" British fighter.
