South African Model Group

Hi Kevin, you have put a lot of PT into trying to get a group together in SA, Thanks, the problem is we are so far apart from each other that a physical group is impossible (unlike plastic modelers)but we could still keep in touch through the forum.
I have a list of SA card modelers but a few of the names you have are missing from my list.

It's not the distance - it was just the lack of response - 8 responses - 4 of which would not say where they lived (city) or provide further contact details! So basically only 4 decent responses!

Another 16 people contacted - PM's 3- 4 each as reminders. Nil response or acknowledgement.

That's why I packed it in. But I had a funny feeling this would be the result. But I suppose better than the response to the Land Expropriation Bill, which affects the houses we live in - check the response below after two odd years (a minimum of 18 million affected with the end of this month as the deadline).

In terms of distance, I never thought this was a great issue. Most people are clustered around Cape Town or Gauteng - and everyone travels a lot as well. My self and another also had free accommodation from anyone out of town.
