South African Model Group

Owen first got the idea of a club or group going, but there were no real takers.

I have put this post on the thread to hopefully try again to pick up more South African Modellers (Swaziland, Lesotho, Namibia, Mocambique, Zimbabwe and Zambia as well if there are modellers interested there).

I use to know Polish guy living in Zambia,he was making some cool paper models but I think he moved.I haven't heard from him in a long while.I'll steer him your way if he sounds off.

Just an update.

• Still, just the two responses although I have also sent a number of PM's out as well.
• 19 modellers on the map - another 5 at least I know of not on the map.

TramFan, dcerlank, retunga, Sporty_SA - please check your PM's.

Will keep scratching for more modellers and give it another couple of weeks.

And since then I had 2 more responses, but 4 of the people who responded will not even tell me what city they are in!!!!

20 modellers on the map plus 4 not on = 24. Every single one mailed and reminded, so more than once when I saw they were active. Only four responses with sensible details so I could put people in touch.

So, quite simply I am not wasting further time on this.

Case closed!

But a big thank you to Owen who suggested the idea and to the others who responded with the key detail asked for. I am sorry I could not get further, but it was not through lack of trying!
