There is no official club, but you'll see most UK members of this forum at the two or three national model shows every year, where we will normally rent a stall.

model show

Hi. For those in the south east, Manston airport spitfire and hurricane museum could be a nice venue for display tables. Little cramped, but a nice venue and good parking. Don't think they would charge and it would be good for them as they rely on donations during visits and are all volunteers.
Are you going to shows elsewhere in the UK this year, I think it would be fun to join and would like to know more? regards,

The UK Card Model Group are planning on displaying at four shows this year:

East Midlands (Hinkley) 7th April
Milton Keynes 25th May
Farnborough 15th Sept
Brampton (Cambs) 29th

Anyone is welcome to display with us

Tim

Hi Tim,
Farnborough is the nearest for me in Kernow, but I'm trying to introduce the hobby to my fellow plastic and figure modellers at the Truro Model Builders Group (part of IPMS West Cornwall).
I intend displaying at the clubs show in August at Hayle Day Centre as part of the general display.Meantime I'll post any pics from the Truro Group, but fair to say that although a slow burner it is happening!
Cheers
Nick

Is there a Poole show we've been at in the past?

I can get to that easily enough, only missed it last year due to holiday. Won't get to MK this May due a little race the following morning called the Edinburgh Marathon, but also viable to travel to. More than 100 miles each way and finding EV recharging starts to be a consideration. However with careful enough packaging I wonder if taking some smaller and less fragile items by public transport would be viable. I got a kombucha SCOBY and liquid to York without disaster on the Tube...
