Chris,
Important note - in some countries they use commas instead of periods.... that is actually .5 to .8 mm - I bet that makes a difference...

Marek uses a pretty consistent system for most of his models. Parts numbered/lettered in red should be laminated to card .5 to .8mm thick. On a few of his 1:33 models he specifies .8 to 1.0mm card. If you are working on a 1:50 I recommend staying close to .5mm. If working on a 1:33 use the .8 to 1.0mm and adjust the slots as necessary.

Most of his models have barely adequate diagrams and no written instructions. Instrument panel locations are notoriously nebulous. I don't know if the electronic versions of his models contain all the info that the printed (European) versions do. I do know that his models are challenging, generally fit well (with occasional exceptions) and cover a wide variety of aircraft types and countries. I recommend test fitting everything that can be before gluing anything.

Your build looks like it is going well - keep plugging away!

Got the camera back, so here are some shots to illustrate the aforementioned fit difficulties.

The next section of fuselage is done. The kit uses butt joints, which I'm not fond of, but it came out OK. Now working on the formers for the aft fuselage.

Cheers!

Forgot to mention there are three optional skins for that second section. My children voted in favor of the stylized stork (at least I think it's a stork). The other options were either a fighting rooster on a white triangle or an owl on a white triangle.
