Looks good, Chris!

It's useful to know about the spat problems.

Finished!! Got the canopy on without too much bother. While this may not my favorite Stuka kit, I do like it. I'd love to see a repaint on this kit to bring the colors a little closer to the actual colors and a bit of weathering would go a long way to make this an even better kit.

And as has become my tradition, as soon as I finished these shots, I immediately knocked the props off! Now the real challenge, trying to find room on the Stuka shelf for the new kid!:D

This, my friends, is why I have no shot at winning this contest. Start to finish in 11 days? Wow!

Nice work, Chris!

Thanks guys. And don't worry, Chris, real life is catching up with me, so I'll really be pushed to find paper modeling time!
Just for the heck of it, I sprayed a little dirty paint on it to take the clean edge off the look of this one;

I know it's not a great job, but just dirtying down the colors helps, I think.

Don,
Next up is the 1:50 Westland Lysander!!!!

Chris -- This is a duplicate of a posting I made in my Shoki thread, but I am putting it here, where it is rather more relevant:

I just discovered that the Imperial Japanese Army imported one example of a Ju-87a Stuka. Allied intelligence, mistakingly thinking it would go into production, gave it the code name "Irene."*

I wonder if Mike Krol (the Font of All Truth and Wisdom on the colors and markings of German aircraft imported by the Imperial Japanese Military Forces) knows what it looked like? If so, perhaps Chris Gutzmer can arrange for a Marek recolor so you can add yet another Stuka to your collection and I can add a rara avis to my miniscule IJA/IJN collection (miniscule in that there are few creatures in the collection, not miniscule as in 1/600).

Don

Ooohhh, Don. You should never have told me this. What a fantastic idea for a recolor!
I'll see if I can find out any more info from my friends in Japan on this one.
And thanks, Don for bringing this one into the open!
Chris
