Nice work!

Great progress, Don. You're moving along quickly!

Now be careful...I hear rumor that these craft have a tendency to jump of the desk at random moments!:D

Keep up the build thread; I'm enjoying it,

Now that I'm thinking about it...

Given Lala's last posting about the change of her avitar, I'm seriously thinking of posting a different where I'm not wearing the wig or make up....

Thanks, Lala -- I just read your post on the LaGG wing structure (Marek Marathon Lala's LaGG) and found it to be very helpful. As I mentioned there, my Shoki has a similar wing structure and I hope to make some progress with the wings this evening. I am also building a Fiddlers Green Piper L-4 Grasshopper for the Army Heritage Day display, so I have found your and CT's Fiddlers Green comments to be helpful, also.

This thread has also turned into a kind of reality television, with various Forum Friends suddenly revealing what purports to be their actual appearance in their avatars -- we are coming belatedly to an approach already long used by Ashrunner, Leif, and some others. An interesting development.

Don...I could always return to my Grand Poobah avatar.

But, I'm saving that for my next 'World Famous Flintstone Model' release 8v)

Oh, Chris! I was just thinking of you! I just discovered that the Imperial Japanese Army imported one example of a Ju-87a Stuka. Allied intelligence, mistakingly thinking it would go into production, gave it the code name "Irene."*

I wonder if Mike Krol (the Font of All Truth and Wisdom on the colors and markings of German aircraft imported by the Imperial Japanese Military Forces) knows what it looked like? If so, perhaps Chris Gutzmer can arrange for a Marek recolor so you can add yet another Stuka to your collection and I can add a rara avis to my miniscule IJA/IJN collection (miniscule in that there are few creatures in the collection, not miniscule as in 1/600).

I shall resist the temptation to use my personal visage for my avatar and will continue to look like my dog Pierce.

Pictures of my actual face may damage the reputation of this forum.:p

Uh, Don?
It will be almost impossible for me to live up to your expectations :o

Mike -- You continue to exceed my expectations! Many thanks. I had intended to check the J-Aircraft forum, but was crashing to finish a copyediting job (while noshing on gyōza and genmaicha at the Issei Noodle House -- one of my alternate "offices"). Now, once we get the colors confirmed (looks rather like the same color scheme as the Japanese Messerschmitts), it's over to the Chris G and Chris W for the repaint and build. Don
