A few Kits For Sale...

Like many others, I have started to collect too many Kits
that I will probably never build.

And there are always more Kits I want...
so I need to get rid of a few.

I am open to offers or trades.
Just PM or email me with your proposal.

Biggest issue is shipping costs.
I will to charge actual shipping costs obviously.
My plan is to ship one or two kits in a large padded envelope/mailer
with solid card insert for protection.
I can try to keep the weight down as much as possible
but overall dimensions of the larger kits is an issue.
(Canadian Postal rates are an outrage...so its a challenge to package and ship stuff cheaply)

For multiple purchases I can consider a box for packing.

If anyone wants all the models,
I'll sell the bunch for US$120 plus whatever the shipping cost is.

For curiosity sake, I looked into some shipping costs...
so to help you judge overall cost, heres the skinny:

Canada and US...looks like I can get one or two kits into a parcel and keep it under 1kg (2.2lbs)
it will classify as "Small Packet Airmail" and ship for $15

The smallest book Kits (*Me109, Fokker), can go singly as "oversize" letters at $8

The Bismark Kit is a different egg...
its much larger and will require a cardboard package/sleeve.
Depending on its final weight, the cost will range from $10 -$15
for the same "Small Packet" method.

Based on the total weights and dimensions, I can ship ALL 6 MODELS
for $25 "Expedited Parcel" within Can/US

* all these parcel methods are insured for $100

International rates are completely different and I would have to check those individually.

Maybe lack of interest is caused by simple overestimation of the value:

I bought it last month in pristine condition from other member of the forum for a very generous price of $13.

The rest usually can be bought overseas for less, but obviously the shipping costs are much more higher.

I know that a seller can ask basically any price, but it just seems to be a bit unfair to our less experienced colleagues, especially that offer comes from very respected and loved member of "our" community.

okay...I have been very nicely exposed as an "unfair" seller...

a message saying "hey dave, your prices are a little out of line. Look here to compare... etc" would have probably sufficed...
but it seems like the general routine here now is to call people out in the forums all the time.

thanks for the "overseas" info too, Cotlet...I'll be sure to suggest more "international" shopping from now on.

and thought I had come up with honest prices.
Obviously I was wrong....

I'm not here to rip anyone off...easier if the kits are no longer available.
