Nice project Duke. Once again, the detail really standouts.
Is this an old ESTES Shuttle kit you are working with? Will be watching. |

Estes and paper
I received a package from a fan.
It had the nose cone, bottom hemisphere, two rear stand-off brackets, and the various plastic shuttle parts. I had to fabricate the SRBs and the lower pattern is wrong, (Will correct after test flight). All other details are paper and the body tube was rolled from thick cardstock. I was gonna build a paper shuttle too...but I'm gonna try and salvage the plastic shuttle. More pictures before flight. Thanks for your kind words and review. |

Maybe
I may build the paper shuttle anyway for the display and store the plastic one after flight.
Update the group on that tomorrow or Friday |

I have this kit and always thought it would be a great rocket just to fly with the shuttle permanently attached as a whole. The center body tube is a BT-67 an odd size. It would be nice to have a paper shuttle. I guess one could upscale one of AXM shuttle models.
If one has a 3D printer the parts for the ESTES shuttle can be found here. Estes space shuttle model rocket by scottdee - Thingiverse Keep up the good work Duke. |

Cool!
The parts might be a bit heavy. But nice job on the files.
I was told that size body tube was not on the market anymore? Do you have a source you can share? Thanks |

No, Duke, I have no idea where that size of the tube can be had.
