Disney/Von Braun Ferry Rocket
Attached is a WIP picture of the Disney/Von Braun Ferry Rocket. It is 1:96th scale and all paper/card construction. Will try and fly her on a E12-4, (Heavy Customer). The orbiter will return as a glider...the booster with (2) 24" chutes constructed from trash bin liners, tape, and fishing line. Glider test flights went well.



More on this project as it evolves.

Disney-Von Braun Ferry Rocket
Disney-von Braun Ferry Rocket from the Disneyland Broadcast, "Man In Space", circa 1958. The model is all cardstock construction...appropriately 1:100 scale...and 42" tall. Will fly first with a E12-4. Upper stage will recover via glide and booster on (2)
24" chutes.
