Ohara SM100, micro

OHARA SM100
JAPANESE SCIENTIFIC EXPLORATION OF ANTARTIDA
http://www2u.biglobe.ne.jp/~h_y/sun.htm
Found on this site a free download of an Ohara SM100 used by the scientific expeditions to Antarctica. The author doesn’t specify the scale of his model. Printed on an A4 sheet the vehicle measures 143mm. The micro version I built measures 23.60mm, so is 16.50% of the “regular” model.
I could not assemble all details in this size, I had leave out the stairs to the rooftop and the paraphernalia installed on top of the vehicle.
The base of the diorama is made of extruded polystyrene (insulation board from DOW). Painted a deep blue and white with acrylics and the applied acrylic medium gel. It will take some days to fully cure, so it is still opaque white, but in the end it will be transparent.

The "ice" base is awesome!!!

Lots of new models there I see! (at the biglobe paper craft site)
The Airstream Trailer is really cool.

I even see my Fuel Trailer!
or at least a very similar model to my Fuel Trailer! haha

I must grab some more of these.

Nice job Carlos!
