I let Chris set the price. I thought he was fair. God bless you Major! All my models are Vectored so when you scale them they should stay nice and crisp. You should go for the smaller size and then post so we can get a look at it. I have built this in two scale so far. 1:12 and 1:32 You are dreaming that same nightmare. Metallic wakes me up from a dead sleep. I tried it on the Bristol 108 and struggled.

hahaha,.. true!
some of the guys on RC Forums build on card stock or mat board or balsa then use a material called "flight metal" its a scale looking metal paper that has an adhesive on one side,.. you burnish it down (more durable then bare-metal) whats cool is when the paint dries you can pick at it with a xacto blade to get realistic chips,.. and/or you can rub away at it to get a natural worn look at it,.. i will try to find some pictures,.. |

Canopy for the F-104G
Here is a shot of the canopy development for the F104G. This is done in sketchup and then exported to Pepakura High Defintion, From there it is vectored and sent to Adobe Illustrator. That is where I apply the colors text and details. Then saved as PDF. Then build it. This process can take a whole day to develop the part and work out the kinks. Pepakura is not a very forgiving program and it takes a lot of clean front end work to make the parts come out right. Sometimes I just give up and start designing all over again to get it right. Hope you enjoy the insight. It is a lot of fun making these things come to life in paper in 3d.
Pepakura Adobe Illustrator Then I finish by printing cutting and proving the design.

Just a note regarding this kit...the Martin Baker Mk7....if you have purchased this kit, check your kits and see if it has the "Mk 7" parts on the base parts page. If it does...you are okay.
If the kit reflects "Mk 10" on the base parts page, please go to your accounts page on Ecards and download the updated file which has the kit parts fixed to reflect "Mk 7". If any assistance is needed, contact one of the Ecard staff . Thanks! |
