FG H-19 (S-55 Repaint)
I have chosen to build the H-19 version of the Sikorsky S-55. I did this repaint a couple of years ago and submitted it to Chip. I replicated the H-19 that is on display at the local Air museum where I work part time. here's the real bird
I'm planning some super fun mods and extra details. Should prove interesting. Unfortunately, the build will have to wait for 2-3 weeks as we are beginning the fun process of finishing our basement this weekend. Construction (of walls) begins Friday! |

Kevin,
That is the second reference I've seen for "Red River Silver Paper". As I live only a few miles from the Red River I find this interesting. What is it? |

I need to drop some coin and get some. The last few times I've tried to get it, it's been out of stock.

Just blew the modeling budget completely out of the water and picked up some Red River silver. Ouch.
Billy- what was it that you sprayed onto the paper to give it that dull shine? And, I'm assuming it was after you printed the page out right? |

Hi Willygoat,
I used a matt acryllic varnish, it's a german brand called Lukas, but on your side of the pond you got Krylon if I remember ( and spell) it right. BTW print before you spray it.. |
