Hey Chris, do you want me to throw this model in the next box? It's XCraft's Heinkel Lerche. It doesn't take up much table space. It's listed on your website under X-planes, but not under the Luft46 heading.

Need some input.... I am in the process of printing out models. The designers will still get their fair cut of course. Whats a fair charge for these models when printed? I dont know much about printed models. For instance if one of the models base price is $4 Is it fair for me to change say 50 cents per printed sheet?

That would make one of the ironclads sell for $8. I print the model itself on 65 lb paper and instructions double sided on regular paper reducing the amount of paper used but not ink.

Is that too steep? General pricing would be 8-12 dollars. I also needed to reduce on hand copies to 5 each, instead of 10. I cant afford to pre-print that many. I will take orders for additional models though.
Thoughts?
Thanks!
Chris

Well, with very general numbers, the cost of printing a model is approximately 40-60 cents per page. Here's how I got that:

$20 for a 250-sheet ream comes to 8 cents per page
$50 in ink cartridges netting between 100-150 sheets at high quality (very general possibly ambitious estimate), comes to about 33-50 cents per page.

I know you have cheaper ink so that makes up a little, but charging only 50 cents per kit is VERY reasonable. A dollar would be reasonable too, if not just for the printing, but also for the have-it-now and I-don't-want-to-DIY convenience.
